Ross Burrus

Celebration of Life

1931-2022

Ross was born to Nell Ross Burrus and Edward Perry Burrus in Columbus, Georgia. He had one older brother, Perry Burrus, who pre-deceased him. In between earning his BS at Georgia Tech and his PhD at Ohio State, he served as a Captain in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He met his first wife, LeRona Wilson (Kocher) while at Ohio State. They moved to East Tennessee after his graduation to take a job at Oak Ridge National Labs. There, he and LeRona had two kids, Nell (Albuquerque, NM) and Kai (Laura) Burrus (San Francisco, CA; married to Julia Smith).


His Celebration of Life will take place on March 26th, 2023 at 1:00 PM EST

Freida Louise Hammitt-Naylor

Celebration of Life

Freida Louise Naylor formerly of Madisonville, TN passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 in Indianapolis. She was born on October 26, 1932 in Seymour, IN. She was the daughter of the late Elsie C. Johnson-Bush and step-daughter of the late Joseph F. Bush.  


Her Celebration of Life took place on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Faye Lee Watson

Faye Lee Watson, age 88, of Madisonville, widow of Kennard Watson, her husband of 53 years, passed away Saturday evening, April 16, 2022 at Sweetwater Hospital. Her Celebration of Life took place on May 15, 2022 in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Madisonville.

Celebration of Life for Susan Miley

In the Outdoor Columbarium Space at the 1st Methodist Church of Madisonvile TN, We celebrated the life of Susan Miley. The program for the service is available for download at the bottom of this section.
