Emma Tate, age 94, of Madisonville, passed away 9:45 P.M. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Dominion Senior Living Care. Lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Madisonville, United Methodist Women, Charter member of Sequoyah Trail Garden Club, having served more than two terms as President and various other offices, Life Member Tennessee Federation of Gardens Club, Tennessee Retired Teachers Association and Retired from the Tennessee Department Human Services.
Survivors, daughter & son-in-law, Laura & Jeff Jones, Woodstock, Ga., Sons & daughter-in-law: Robert (Bob) Stanford, Jr. & Jackie Tate, Kenneth (Kenny) Ray Tate, of Madisonville, Grandchildren & spouses, Dustin and Carrie Tate, Athens, Blake and Tara Gilbreath, Knoxville, Amanda and Kurt Catone, Atlanta, GA, Corri and Cody Hammontree, Maryville, Casey Deaguero, Boston, Mass., 13 great-grandchildren, Several nieces & nephews, Sisters-in-law, Carolyn Peck, Lenoir City, Wilma Hamilton, Tellico Plains, Brenda Tate, Madisonville, Brother-in-law, Arlin Tate, Atlanta, Ga., Preceded in death by parents, Orville & Esther Miller Peck, brother, Claude Calvin Peck and twins Joseph and Josephine, grandson-in-law, Mike Deaguero.
Funeral 2:30 P.M. Saturday, First United Methodist Church of Madisonville, Marlee Tierce & Rev. Mike Hubble officiating with 25% capacity. Margaret (Pixie) Murphy Marshall, 75, of Madisonville, TN went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2021 surrounded by her family. Poetic for an Irish lass to pass on St. Patrick’s Day. Survived by her husband Bob Marshall; Sons Rusty Rowell and family of Lower Marlboro, MD, Kenneth Rowell and family of Cartersville, GA, and Robbie Marshall of Baltimore, MD; Sister Irene Logan and family of Ashville, NC; Brothers John Murphy and daughter Molly of La Plata, MD, Eddie Murphy and his family, WV.
